One is the Friday Market and another is Kushal Nagar Market.
Located at Madikeri, Friday market is quite popular for various kinds of spices such as like pepper, nutmeg, cardamom and star anise, coffee products, fruits and vegetables. One can also buy handicraft items such as sandalwood crafts, rosewood carvings and many others.
Sandalwood and silk shopping at this centre is also quite good. For lover for jewellery, this is the perfect place for shopping as you will get some intricately designed ethnic jewellery here. Along with this, Metalware items and bidriware are also available at this shopping centre.
The Kushal Nagar Market presents tourists with the opportunity to buy some exquisite Tibetan artefacts. Products here are priced at reasonable prices. Other items that are sold here and quite popular amongst tourists are home beads, imprinted tables, screens, dinner gongs, boxes, mythological figures, decorating and stationary items.
One can also buy silk saris from here. Different kinds of local scents, sandalwood oil, oil lamp and timber carvings are also found here. Tourists can also buy jewellery from including gold jewellery like earring and necklaces.
