Looking for a wild beauty of nature? If yes, then Karada is the place for you to visit while on your Coorg tour. A small village in the kakkabe region and close to the kakkabe centre of the Coorg district, Karada offers tourists with a different experience altogether.
Located at a distance of 18 km from Virajpet and approximately 30kms from Madikeri, Karada offers tourists with amazing scenic beauty and refreshing atmosphere. Comparatively lesser known than other tourist places, Karada presents amazing wild beauty. The area is covered with a huge expanse of rich coffee-estates filling the area with its aroma and adding on to its beauty.

Karada boasts of some of the excellent ancestral homes of Coorg. Many ancestral homes which are as old as 200-300 years old can be found here. If tourists are interested they have the feel of old times and ancient living at these homes. For instance, the ancestral Home known as Iyne Mane which is almost 250 years old, offers the tourists an opportunity to stay here along with pampering themselves with mouth-watering authentic Coorg cuisine. There are others too such as Nadikerianda Aine house which is again almost 200 years old.
Along with staying here, having nature walks amidst the beautiful scenery or through the coffee and spices plantation or going for trekking is something tourists can indulge themselves in.
